On 9/1/05 we sent an
email (see
below) to our clients describing our
commitment to providing
Additional
Relief
& Help for the victims of hurricane
Katrina.
Thank you for your feedback;
we appreciate your kind
comments and
suggestions.
The following is a list of the
charitable organizations that have
received *,
or are slated to receive, contributions
as outlined in our email.
The
text of our original email (typos
corrected; thanks Jan!):
Performance Source II, Ltd., The
A/R Help(tm) Company - Additional Relief
for Katrina Victims
Unbelievable! It is heartbreaking to
see the devastation and hear about
the suffering caused by hurricane
Katrina. Like most folks, each
member of our staff is finding ways
to help. I just wanted to tell you
what we are doing as a company, and
on behalf of our clients.
The A/R
in our logo (A/R Help™), of course,
is “accounts receivable”. On claims
placed in September the A/R will
also mean “Additional Relief” for
victims of the disaster. We will
give a minimum of 5% of all net fees
earned on claims placed in
September, and collected through the
end of November. We say minimum of
5% because once we reach budget
goals for each of these months, we
will add a portion of the overage to
the contributions as well.
Today we advanced an initial
donation to the American Red Cross
as the most prominent charitable
first responder. We also recognize
that there are thirsts not quenched
by water, hunger not satisfied by
food, and shelter more permanent
than a roof overhead. Folks need to
see light in their darkest hours, to
have their hearts and souls
nourished, and to know that hope
abounds in even the darkest of
times. Toward that end a donation
has also been made to
LCMS World Relief (A Ministry of the
Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod),
which will receive matching donation
($1 for every $2 given, up to $300
per member) from
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
We will make additional
contributions at the end of each
month. A/R Help is planned for
Catholic Charities USA and
others. We are seeking other
charitable or relief organizations
that may serve victims not
adequately reached through those
already chosen. Perhaps you can tell
us of some other deserving
organizations (especially where
matching funds may be available)
which may be less visible and,
therefore, in greater need of A/R
Help? We will post select charities
on our website’s links page.
You don’t need to do anything
extra in order to provide A/R
(Additional/Relief) Help. Just place
the claims you’d normally send in
and we’ll do the rest. Of course, if
you want to dig a little deeper into
your A/R aging to see if there are
claims you want to send sooner,
rather than later, all the better.
Together we can provide A/R Help!
As always, we appreciate your
business!
Sincerely,
Mark E Zanders Sr.

"This is very commendable as we
all could be there some day.
As you know the good Lord can always
present a challenge.
My wife and I have already donated
to the Red Cross and I intend to
look into the possible ways that
<our company> can also aid the
cause.
Thanks for sharing your thoughtful
program.
Ron G."
